Karen Collins
Karen Collins is a retired music educator who taught choral music in Montgomery County for 31 years. She has directed choirs and led worship at various churches throughout Montgomery and Howard counties and recently received her barbershop Director Certification from Sweet Adelines International. Karen joined the Heart of Maryland in May 2005, and became director in November 2007. Her belief is that if our singing is just about great barbershop vocal skills but does not come from "within",it will be just a performance instead of music that opens the heart and touches the soul.
We are delighted to have her as our director.
